Intelligence agencies

Intelligence agencies are government bodies (e.g., CIA, Mossad, MI6) tasked with gathering intelligence, conducting covert actions, and protecting national security. Because their work is by nature secretive and occasionally involves coercive, illegal, or unethical actions, these agencies are frequent subjects of conspiracy theories.
